FastCraft is a mod that improves the performance of Minecraft by replacing Vanilla code with its own optimized code, by fixing bugs and by reducing the amount of chunks that are leaked.
Uses of FastCraft[edit]
FastCraft is useful everywhere, including in regular Minecraft, though it is especially useful in modded instances of Minecraft. FastCraft can increase the framerate more than the Optifine mod, also designed to reduce framerate lag, can in most cases. This is because while Optifine optimizes and multi-threads the rendering logic, FastCraft optimizes and patches the main logic loop in minecraft. If the main logic loop does not keep up, there isn't anything new to render, so lag will persist no matter what. FastCraft and Optifine can, however, be used together, yielding the highest framerates.
Issues[edit]
FastCraft has been known to occassionally cause issues with other mods. When reporting a bug or crash, most mod authors would want to know if the Minecraft instance included FastCraft because of these issues.
