AppleCore is an API that allows the modification of food and hunger related mechanics for Minecraft. It also includes a HUD improvement to show food values when holding shift, hunger and saturation of the current food item held, and food exhaustion.
Hunger Overhaul, The Spice of Life, and Hunger in Peace mods use AppleCore.
Starting with version 2.0 (MC 1.10.2), many of the HUD enhancements were moved from AppleCore to AppleSkin.
