Better Storage is a Minecraft mod which adds more storage options. It aims for fun, creative, balanced, and original features which would fit well into vanilla Minecraft, but also works excellent just as a stand alone mod, or even better with other mods in modpacks. The mod adds more storage options, like Storage Crates, Backpacks, Reinforced Chests, Lockers, Armor Stands, Locks and Keys. Better Storage has been around for awhile, it made its first debut in Minecraft version 1.5.2 in the Hexxit modpack. Since the days of Hexxit, it has greatly expanded and is found in many other packs.

Crates and Lockers[edit]
Crates and Lockers function similarly to chests. Lockers are essentially the same, but to get a double locker they must be stacked vertically instead of horizontally. A storage crate is another storage option, with 18 slots each, sharing their inventory with all other connected crate blocks. This type of storage is not like your neatly organized chests, items put in here will be scrambled around. Each time a player opens them, they will see a randomized selection of items, up to a double chest. You can shift-click more items in even if there's no empty slots in the interface, as long as there's still room. The little bar at the top right shows you how full the crate pile is.
Reinforced Chests[edit]
These chests have an extra 12 slots of storage compared to regular chests. In addition, similar to the Obsidian Chest from the Iron Chests mod, these chests are impervious to explosion damage, making them a good option for outside storage as meteorites, Creepers, or any sort of explosion damage cannot destroy them. However, sadly, unlike the Iron Chests mod, the material with which a chest is reinforced (Diamond, Emerald, Gold, Copper, etc.) does not actually change anything about the chest except its aesthetic color.
