Bloodstone is an item from the Random Things mod which grants regeneration and can summon a Bloodmoon event under the right conditions. It is an upgrade of the White Stone, but does not have the former item's abilities. Instead it grants constant regeneration to the player based on the number of hostile mobs killed.
Recipe[edit]
To create a Bloodstone, the player must have a fully charged White Stone and drop it on the ground during a Bloodmoon event. Red particle effects will emit from the White Stone, and after approximately five seconds it will convert into an uncharged Bloodstone. Picking up the White Stone before it has converted will stop the process.
Usage[edit]
Killing hostile mobs with a Bloodstone in the player's inventory will charge the Bloodstone. It grants increasing levels of regeneration based on the number of charges. The Bloodstone must be carried in the player's inventory to grant its health regeneration and gain charges. A full Bloodstone can hold a maximum of 400 charges.
Charges | Regeneration |
---|---|
0-199 | Half a heart every ten seconds. |
200-399 | Half a heart every second. |
400 | One heart a second. |
A Bloodstone with at least 50 charges can be used to summon a Bloodmoon. A 5x5 shape of Nether Brick, Quartz, Redstone and Obsidian blocks needs to be constructed on the ground in the pattern below, and the Bloodstone right-clicked on the center piece of Obsidian. This consumes 50 charges from the Bloodstone. If done correctly, a moon will appear in the middle of the pattern, turn red and all the blocks will convert into Obsidian. The next night will spawn a Bloodmoon event. Attempting to summon a Bloodmoon will have no effect if the next night is already set to have one.
