The Crucible Furnace is an Item added by Mariculture.

It can be made into a multi-block smelting structure by stacking several Crucible Furnace blocks atop one another. It must be surrounded by heat sources to function, for example lava. Placing an ore into the GUI of the smelter will melt the ore down into its molten state. By using empty bottles the Player can extract the molten ore, providing an alternative to other early game methods of smelting by effectively doubling ore output. It is also possible to place an Ingot Caster next to the furnace and use the furnace GUI to enable auto eject of liquids. This is a much easier way to get the ingots out. Placing a vat next to the furnace will have a similar effect of getting things like quicklime into a vat.

Trivia[edit]

  • A Mariculture Tank filled with lava will only heat the furnace up to 1500 degrees. To get it up to higher temperatures, one must use solid fuel (ie: Coal, Charcoal)
