Dark Steel is a crafting component added by EnderIO.

It can be used to create tools, weapons, and armor using the standard recipes. the items created are better than their iron equivalents and can be upgraded with further materials. The Dark Pick (pickaxe) is capable of mining cobalt level Tinkers' Construct ores, making it officially harder than diamond.

The Dark Steel production is very slow and takes a lot of time. However it can be sped up by inserting one of the mod capacitors into the smelter.
