Feed The Beast Wiki:Autoconfirmed users
From Feed The Beast Wiki
Autoconfirmed users are registered users that have made at least 10 edits in the main wiki namespace. Users that reach this edit count will automatically be considered autoconfirmed, no other action is necessary.
Rights[edit]
The only two additional rights of autoconfirmed users over regular registered users are the following:
- Editing semi-protected pages. Certain pages are protected by administrators to restrict modification to autoconfirmed or higher users. This is usually a measure against vandalism, temporarily or permanently. Autoconfirmed users may bypass such protection.
- Exemption from per-IP rate limitation. To avoid massive spam, vandalism or server attacks, a single IP address may only perform a certain amount of requests in a certain amount of time. This does not affect regular usage of the site in any way, but stops unnaturally fast requests that may cause server (over)load. Autoconfirmed users are not subject to this restriction anymore.
