Feed The Beast Wiki:Vandalism
Vandalism is defined as any addition, removal or change of content made in bad faith, with malicious intentions or otherwise intended to deliberately hurt the Feed The Beast Wiki project.
Typical acts of vandalism include blanking pages or sections, adding profanity or complete nonsense to a page, or modifying content to be purposefully misleading or incorrect. Such acts lead to an immediate block and do not require any warnings. Repeated acts of vandalism will lead to longer or permanent blocking.
If you encounter any vandalism, revert it by going to the page's history and using the "undo" button next to the proper edit. Make sure you are reverting to a "clean" version of the page. Alternatively, simply revert vandalism manually by editing the page.
It is, however, important to assume good faith. Understand that newcomers may make mistakes and are allowed to do so. Be respectful to them. Any good-faith edit, even if misguided, is not vandalism and should not be treated as such.
If you notice a problematic edit that was made in good faith, try to fix the edit and leave a friendly message on the user's talk page. Try to explain exactly what the problem was with the edit, but avoid using words such as "vandalism" that could intimidate new editors.
