The Item Detector is a RedPower 2 machine which passes items through when connected to a Pneumatic Tube network, and emits Redstone signals when certain conditions are met. It requires no Redstone or Blutricity input to function.
Usage[edit]
Activating an Item Detector block will bring up a GUI with a 3×3 inventory and a mode switch button. The inventory space is used as a filter if not empty, making the detector output signals for only matching item types. The quantity in each slot doesn't affect how signals are outputted, although an item's Damage Value will. Pneumatic tubes attached to the side of the block will connect to the filter inventory.
Clicking the mode button will cycle through three different settings:
- Single Item Mode - this is the default, and emits one Redstone pulse for each item passed; two stacks of 50 items will produce 100 sequential pulses.
- Stack Mode - emits one pulse for each entity object in the tube; two stacks of 50 items will make 2 pulses.
- Backstuffed Mode - this causes the machine to emit a constant Redstone signal if any items become backstuffed in the machine, due to all output destinations becoming invalid.
