The Machete is a tool added by Adventure Backpack.
It can be used as both a tool and a weapon, but it makes a better tool for cutting through grass and leaves, for easy jungle traversing. When chopping through grass and leaves it drops them as shears. It can cut wood pretty well as an axe if needed and it counts as a tool for the backpacks' tool slot.
