The Signal Terminal is a block added by the Tinkers' Mechworks mod. It is used to transmit redstone signals through a 'wireless' redstone network. They have to be connected to Signal Buses, by right-clicking them with a Spool of Wire and then right-clicking the Signal Bus with the same spool. The spool will lose a charge (of Length of Wire) for every block the connection has to span. The maximum distance of these connections is 16 blocks. The connections are only visible when the player holds a Spool of Wire as active item.
Multiple signals can be transmitted with a Signal terminal. By right-clicking the colored area of the block, which is white by default, a different color is set. These colors correspond to different signals within the network. To transmit a redstone signal, a Signal Terminal is required both at the start and the end of the connection, they each have to be connected through the same Signal Bus (and have to have the same color). The redstone signal is input through the block on which the Signal Terminal is placed (which can be on any side of that block), as well as output into that block.
Extending the range of the redstone signal can be achieved in two ways using Signal Terminals and Signal Buses. Two (or more) Signal Terminals can be placed on the same block, which is then used as a relay to forward the signal. Multiple Signal Buses can also be placed adjacent to each other to form a wired connection.
