Talk:Silverwood Sapling (Thaumcraft 3)

I have watched about 4 silverwood trees die after chopping away the wood. None of them dropped ANY saplings. So has the drop rate been reduced even further? Or is there some trick to making the leaves drop saplings? Snowpaw (talk) 01:30, 22 April 2013 (CEST)

Since it's possible for a silverwood tree to drop no saplings, having 4 such trees in a row is just a string of bad luck. Also, there's no benefit to letting the leaves decay naturally, they have the same chance of dropping saplings if you punch them, so you can save yourself some time by going at them with a Sickle instead of just watching them die. --timrem (talk) 03:08, 22 April 2013 (CEST)

It's just luck. I'd say about half the Silverwoods I take down don't give any saplings, the most I've gotten from one tree was three. Just keep knocking them down, eventually you'll get a sapling or two. Embri (talk) 03:15, 22 April 2013 (CEST)
