Lua Logo.svg This template is written in Lua. The full source code can be found at Module:ModNames.

Returns the tooltip-friendly name of a given block or item, by stripping mod name suffixes. If the suffix does not match a mod name or generic identifier (such as "Block" or "Item"), it is assumed to be part of the item's name and is left alone.

Example[edit]

  • {{StripSuffix|Radio (OpenBlocks)}} gives Radio
  • {{StripSuffix|Coal (Item)}} gives Coal
  • {{StripSuffix|Machine Frame (Reinforced)}} gives Machine Frame (Reinforced)

See also[edit]

  • {{ModDisplayName}}, which returns the mod's formatted display name
  • {{ModPageName}}, which returns the unformatted mod article name
  • {{ModLink}}, which creates a full wikilink
