Ancient Fabric is a block from Dimensional Doors. The only location you can find this block is at the bottom of the world in Limbo. Since this block is akin to bedrock such that it stands between the world and void, it is unbreakable, and therefore unable to be harvested.
The point of this block is to provide a quick and easy, however risky way out of Limbo. Upon stepping on this block you will be teleported randomly within a large area in the overworld, possibly hundreds or thousands of blocks away from your home. When you arrive, you will spawn on a platform of Unraveled Fabric to ensure you do not fall to your death. However, it is possible to get stuck in the sky on this platform if you do not have any means of safely descending.
