Flood Gate is a machine by BuildCraft mod which is used to place liquid blocks in the world, making it a reverse version of a Pump. However, unlike the Pump, the Flood Gate doesn't require power to operate. The uses among this machine are many, infact, did you know Flood Gates can be used for creating artificial lakes or even oceans? One of the many uses for the Flood Gate is to fill up your "Big Reactor" from the Big Reactors mod. This machine has a great usage for saving time and energy instead of having to go through the tedium of individually placing each block of fluid at a time.
Using the Flood Gate is simple; simply take a fluid pipe and connect it from a tank to Flood Gate, and that's it, it's that simple. The Flood Gate can even be controlled by redstone signal. Be advised, however, as the Flood Gate will distribute any input fluid from all open faces other than the top.
