Mazestone is the main building material of the Labyrinth from the Twilight Forest mod with others being blocks such as Mycelium, Mushroom blocks, Iron Bars and Gravel. Mazestone comes in several different varieites, such as Chiseled, Cracked, Mosaic, Mazestone Brick and so forth. It appears to be a type of block that can take on all the different attributes of the vanilla Minecraft various blocks; Decorative, Chiseled and regular from Sandstone; Cracked, Mossy and Mazestone Brick from Stone Brick; Mosaics and Borders are the mod maker's own design.

Mazestone takes quite a while to mine through even when using a high level pickaxe or a Mining Drill; the only pickaxe capable of digging through Mazestone in any reasonable span of time is the Mazebreaker, a very valuable and rare pick found only in the Labyrinth itself. Thus, one must beat one or more Labyrinths to find a Mazebreaker before one can dig through the walls of other Labyrinths.

Despite its relative hardness, Mazestone is not particularly resistant to explosions. This makes explosives like TNT a valid option for gathering large amounts of Mazestone. Note that due to its low blast resistance, Mazestone does not make an effective containment block for explosions caused by Creepers, Nuclear Reactors and other explosives.

It does not take nearly as long to mine as either Towerwood Planks or Encased Towerwood, which are just as durable as Obsidian. Mazestone is designed so that the player will not dig through the walls or floor of the maze to get to other areas. Digging through the floor to get to the next floor of the maze is further protected by the fact that the second floor is surrounded by Bedrock and can only be entered through the first-floor entrance to it.

Usage[edit]

Mazestone has no known uses in crafting.
