Shovel of the Wyvern is a tool item added by the Draconic Evolution mod. It is an upgrade to the vanilla Diamond Shovel, which digs considerably faster. The shovel is powered with Redstone Flux energy, for which it has an internal buffer of 1,000,000 RF. It can be charged up using an Energy Infuser or a similar machine capable of transferring RF power into items. When it runs out of a charge, it will not break, but it has to be recharged to be effective again.

The tool is configurable in the mod's config window, which is by default opened with the 'c' key. This window shows a view of the inventory slots as well as the armor slots, where a tool or piece of armor can be selected to configure it. The dig speed multiplier can be set to anything from 0 to the default 1, allowing the player to decrease the speed at which the tool operates. The area size can be set to either 1x1 block(s) or 3x3 blocks. The depth of the digging operation for this tool will always be one block. Finally there is also an AOE (Area of Execution) Safe Mode which can be toggled on or off. This prevents the tool from digging when tile entities are detected within the AOE.
