"Having already obsoleted the classic potion, it was a simple matter to do the same for splash potions. Simply fill an essentia phial with a mixture of blood and gunpowder, then treat it as you would a warded syringe. The resulting phial explodes on impact, showering any nearby creatures in magically-charged blood.
This may not be particularly sanitary, but it is certainly effective."
