Invisibility[edit]

When a player holds the item in their hand, they have two options. If they simply right click, the item will grant them invisibility for two minutes, and take an ender pearl from their inventory. The effect is similar to that of the vanilla potion, making only the player invisible and leaving the armor and tools visible. The player may, by hovering over the item in their inventory, see how long their effect will remain. When this timer is up, the item will take another ender pearl from the player's inventory automatically, adding another two minutes to the invisibility effect. This avoids the need to stop every two minutes to refuel the item. If there are no more ender pearls in the player's inventory, the effect will not be added, and the player will become visible again. In creative mode however, the item does not require any ender pearls to be in the player's inventory, and will continue to refresh its effect indefinitely. The item will not take an ender pearl from any storage devices that are open at the time when it runs out. If the player wants to become visible again, or if they do not want to use any more of their ender pearls, they may right click while holding the item to freeze the effect. This will maintain the current charge of the item, so that next time it is right clicked it will continue to countdown where it left off. If the item is dropped on the ground, placed in a chest, or stored in another block such as a machine, no matter whether the item is set to make the player visible or invisible, the timer will freeze until it is once again put in a player's inventory.

Teleportation[edit]

By sneaking and right clicking while holding the item, the player may teleport themselves to the place that their cursor was located. This consumes one ender pearl, but is much safer and easier to use than the ender pearl itself. The Cloak of Distortion does not require guesswork as it is direct, and does not require an object to be thrown through the air. It is also safer as it does not deal any damage to the player after the teleportation has taken place. If the player does not have any ender pearls in their inventory, nothing will happen. In creative mode, no ender pearls are required, and the player may teleport indefinitely.
